This blog is written and administered by Tara and David. It chronicles their adventures teaching English in South Korea, beginning with their document preparations. They just recently got jobs and will be leaving for Cheonan, Chungcheong, South Korea.
About the Authors:
- Tara was born in Eugene, Oregon, and later moved to Canby, Oregon. In 2007 she graduated from Canby High School and began attending Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. Eventually transferring to the University of Oregon, she graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She has worked as a counselor and unit director at YMCA Camp Silver Creek, and interned at Ophelia’s Place in Eugene. She enjoys camping, reading, playing games, and watching movies.
- David was born in Poway, California, and lived there for eighteen years. In 2005 he graduated from Poway High School, and moved to Eugene to attend the University of Oregon. He graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in History, and in 2010 received a Master of Arts in Teaching from Pacific University. After receiving his teacher’s certification in January 2011, he worked for two and a half years as a substitute teacher in Eugene-area school districts. He enjoys reading, writing, playing music, and playing games.
Tara and David met in January of 2012 and just could not get enough of each other. They have crazy plans and will see them all carried out.
